  This is one of our favorite restaurants and after 4 years, our anticipation of eating great food was shattered by this weeks visit.
  First-The Redecoration.
  They installed a corridor that starts at the entrance, cuts the restaurant in half, and stops a few feet from the bar. Being involved with fire life safety most of my adult life, it occurred to me that during an emergency this funnel could be detrimental for evacuating a crowded restaurant quickly. I would be surprised if the building inspector allowed this.
  
  Second-The Service.
  
  The waiter could have been on a episode of "Lost In Space" With only three tables to attend to, he forgot that we existed, forgot our drinks, forgot how our salads were ordered, etc etc.
  I immediately check my deodorant for effectiveness.
  Oh, I almost forgot, the standard line, "How is everything?' from the waiter could not be answered. As soon as he made the statement he turned and walked away.
  
  Third--The Food.
  
  My wife examined her favorite meal, (Chicken Parmesan ), and notice that the slices were extremely thin. Three bites, she could not eat anymore claiming it tasted processed and not even close to being fresh or even close to the standards of what 4 years represented.
  
  My dish, Veal Parmesan, was just as thin and had no flavor. The pasta was not drained properly, leaving so much water on my plate that the veal had a life jacket on.
  
  The bread was good.
  
  In closing, we are sadden by the downward spiral of one of our favorites.
  
  We have already ventured out looking for future favorites and hope that the decline of La Cucina is only temporary.

  Hands down the best restaurant in Brunswick County. The staff are friendly the food is amazing. The owner is a great guy makes you feel at home. We were served by Sybil who was super efficient and never let us want for anything. I take my food serious and this places menu does not disappointed. I would definitely recommend giving them a shot. I would also recommend calling ahead for a reservation being that they are always busy. Enjoy
